Within the context of this solemn undertaking, patient safety is the highest priority for every clinician. The origins of inomed lay in intraoperative monitoring of neurological function. Our research in the field of our core competences is recognized as pioneering. To date, our products have been used to successfully treat a huge number of patients. inomed has been recognized by the “Top 100” Society as one of the most innovative medium-sized German companies. We are currently engaged in four research partnerships with universities and specialized institutes. For the 2012 to 2016 period, 1.5 million euros have been approved for various research projects – investment in this type of activity will result in the creation of new jobs in the areas of product development and engineering at inomed. Further benefits arising from research and development projects will be seen in the product manufacturing and production segments of our business.

With our headquarters in Emmendingen, near the city of Freiburg-Breisgau, the gateway to the Black Forest in Germany, inomed employs more than 250 people. The Research and Development Department consists of 19 scientists, engineers and technologists. The R&D team, working closely with research partners, is engaged in the development of new products and technologies for the healthcare professional. The inomed R&D team has created a portfolio that includes products in the fields of intraoperative neuromonitoring, functional neurosurgery, pain treatment and neurological diagnostics.
Our subject matter experts, working in the fields of biology, medicine, informatics, mechanical engineering and the humanities, work together with medical experts from hospitals, clinics and other research partners.
